私について

Hi there, my name is Martina and my Japanese friends call me マルちゃん. I’m a cozy, friendly, passionate person and I run @czechoneko on Instagram, where I share Japan tips in Prague and the rest of the Czech Republic. I’ll be in Japan in January 2025, so I’m planning to share practical travel tips and advice on where to go and what to do in Japan.

I post about the best places for authentic matcha, delicious ramen, kawaii plushies, Japanese stationery and more Japan-related food and products. I also report on current art exhibitions and concerts by Japanese artists, Japanese book or film releases and other cultural happenings. Every month, I post a list of Japanese events in the Czech Republic, which is always pinned at the top of my profile. I also share weekly song picks by Japanese artists, which are always clickable at the top of my profile every week.

I studied Social Anthropology and Japanese at SOAS, University of London, between 2012-2017. I completed a Study in Kyoto program at Ritsumeikan University as an exchange student between 2013-2014.
