Authentic Local Experience House

Authentic Local Experience House

summary

In our travels to about 20 countries, our "most memorable experiences" were not sightseeing tours, but the moments when we came into contact with local people and touched their culture through hands-on activities.
We want to bring such "memorable local experiences" to visitors to Japan - that is the starting point of this project.

We chose Nara, our hometown, as the stage.
Nara was the site of Japan's first capital, and many aspects of Japanese culture such as tea ceremony, calligraphy, and festivals were born here.
However, today Nara is recognized as a "day-trip tourist destination where visitors only see deer and the Great Buddha," and the average amount spent by foreign tourists is the lowest in Japan.

We want to change this situation.
To make Nara a memorable destination, rather than just a transit point, we offer cultural experience programs centered on interaction with local people.

For example, the "Onigiri making experience," a Japanese home-style meal, and the "Drinking experience" to learn about Japan's unique sake culture are all real cultural experiences rooted in daily life.

Our program is based on three key concepts

  1. Real Japan everyday experience - Time to connect with the real Japan, the one you can't find in sightseeing.

  2. Learning through experience - Through cultural comparisons with one's own country, one gains new insights and understanding.

  3. Mutual exchange - not a journey to see, but a journey to participate, share, and build emotional connections.

From Nara to the world, we will deliver memorable Japanese experiences that go beyond "mere sightseeing.
